Swarup is currently working as an project finance professional with Synergy Consulting with a focus on transport (port and road) and social infrastructure (healthcare, real estate, education etc.) sectors. He has worked on projects in multiple geographies including KSA, Oman, Indonesia, India, Kenya, Egypt etc.Previously, he had worked as an credit analyst at ICRA where he was responsible for credit rating of large corporates in fertiliser, chemical and port logistics sector. He had published multiple research reports on Indian fertiliser industry (including international fertilizer journals). He had also worked as an assistant manager in IDBI Capital where he worked majorly on restructuring and syndication projects for Indian clients.He has done his PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode with major in finance and strategy. He had served as an elected member of the Infrastructure Committee of IIM Kozhikode. Further, he had also exhibited good negotiation skills during his tenure of heading the sponsorship team of different festivals during under graduation at NIT Rourkela.
