2 Projects - OpenStack cloud and RNCMAN•Automating the Instance creation process with Cloud-Init shell scripts - Eucalyptus and OpenStack Cloud.•Creating Jenkins jobs that help users to create an instance of their choice on Eucalyptus and OpenStack.•Created a Jenkins job that generates and sends a report at 9AM every day which contains details of instances not used in the last 24 hours.This helps the instance owners to terminate the old instances if not required there by reducing the cost of utilization and improves efficiency of Cloud utilization.•Creating auto-scaling groups with relevant policies. Ensuring that the cores that remain idle for some time are immediately terminated.•Instances are designed in such a way that Jenkins slaves are automatically created and communicates with a particular Jenkins master and the jobs can run on these slaves. When the job finishes these slaves are terminated and new slaves are created.•Working closely with the team to understand the build procedure so that appropriate instances can be created on Eucalyptus cloud using cloud-init scripts rather than manually configuring the server.•Helping the team to migrate from Eucalyptus to OpenStack as Eucalyptus will be ramped down by end of 2018.•Creating artifacts/build outputs and pushing them to S3 bucket. The artifacts can then be downloaded whenever and wherever needed.•Automating Instance creation, making the newly created instance a Jenkins slave, running the Jenkins jobs on this slave, sending out an email to relevant people about the build status and terminating the Jenkins Slave and instance after it's use.•Helping team members to migrate from SVN to Git souce code repository.•Helping them to create Jenkins master on OpenStack and create jobs which can automate build for every commit in Git.•Attaching Elastic IPs to certain instances and generating DNS for the Elastic IP. Attaching SSL certificate to the Elastic IP for secure connection to certain websites.
