I am a biotechnologist by training with an avid interest in biological research and development and teaching.To elaborate, I am an M.Tech Biotechnology (2021) graduate from Ramaiah Institute of Technology , Bangalore. I have been trained in both laboratory-based and computation -based aspects of biology , in my professional and educational endeavours. My master’s project was based on identifying small molecules against anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein using molecular docking and molecular dynamics approaches. During my tenure as a Junior Research Fellow in Indian Institute of science, I was involved in identifying and understanding the role of genes and mutations in the heredity of cardiovascular diseases using blood-DNA isolation, PCR and electrophoresis to determine the frequency of mutation in cardiac patients. Apart from this, I am a B.Ed graduate from Bangalore University with specialisation in English and Biology. I have also worked as an associate content developer - Biology in Byju’s Think and Learn Pvt. Ltd.Currently, I am working as a senior scientific officer at Adiuvo Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd, an AI- based startup in the wound-care space.My areas of research interests include genetics, molecular pathway- based studies, omics - based studies, green- environment and waste management solutions, and studies that integrate biology with technology to develop sustainable solutions/ alternatives to existing problems . From an educational standpoint, I am interested in simplifying science and creating engaging and innovative material to improve scientific knowledge amongst students or people in general.
