Demonstrate leadership capability and skills for designing, developing medical device textile components and transferring of new designs to manufacturing for commercial use.

• Polymer research and technical work utilizing the following analytical techniques: DSC, FT-IR, ATR Imaging, TGA, Titration and rheology. • Work closely with existing FDA approved biocompatible materials and as well as novel biomaterials.• Develop new polymer through polycondensation synthesis to ultimately develop new products for emerging medical market. • Perform various experiments to characterize the novel biomaterial to develop a product specification. • Coordinate necessary tooling and equipments. • Develop and release new test methods while following ASTM/ISO standards.

• Design, develop, implement and maintain processes for medical device components in cardiovascular, neurovascular, orthopedic and general surgery field. • Participate in cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing and quality to identify process development and validation strategies. • Work independently and with cross-functional groups to take components from R&D to manufacturing.• Work closely with major medical device industries and handle multiple projects while managing priorities.• Develop and implement required process validation protocols and reports to commercialize a medical device component.

• Served as a project leader, managing three product line extension projects.• Currently leading the specials program for custom made vascular devices while interfacing with physicians to obtain product design feedback. • Developed test methods for testing medical devices and validations protocols: DOE, DV, IQ, OQ/PQ, and PPQ.• Analyzed the process issues by performing detailed yield analysis for various product lines and worked on process improvement to reduce yield loss, which resulted in significant amount of cost savings.• Created project plans which included timing of tasks, resource planning, budgeting and product cost.• Performed development studies and prototyping to verify processing concepts and to help define manufacturing systems.• Performed studies used to assess process capabilities. • Designed and tested prototype devices to support endovascular devices and evaluate its performance characteristics. • Conducted nominal and challenge studies to determine if the design meets the specifications; modify designs to meet the product specification as required. • Write technical reports of protocols and submit findings in PDM system.• Created and released BOMs, Routers and engineering documents and parts via Engineering Change Notices with the Maquet Product Data Management System.
