I traveled the globe and delivered educational programming to over 500 corporate participants in multiple global andn domestic for profit and non-profit companies to drive cultural change within the companies. I provided executive coaching to people leaders and individual contributors to enhance their skills. SWC (Speaking with Conviction) Speaks is a consulting and learning and development company that is focused on equipping clients with the tools they need to cultivate spaces where individuals can bring their authentic selves to their workplace/campus/organization. SWC Speaks helps organizations and humans learn and grow by blending storytelling and data while focusing on application. In this role, I created award-winning curriculum; coach executives to promotions and improved performance metrics; and traveled the globe to aid people leaders in improving the culture of their teams, companies, institutions, and organizations.

In this role, I had the opportunity to work both proactively and reactively to aid the institution in creating a culture of accountability and care for one another. Using a lens of equity, inclusion, and harm reduction, my focus was on helping students create meaning making opportunities from missteps and to recognize how it is never a singular choice that impacts how they found themselves out of compliance with the institution's values or conflict with others.Responsibilities & Achievements- Lead a dynamic and diverse team of two Senior Specialists, Alcohol & Other Drug Interventionist, Office Support Specialist and graduate and undergraduate support staff.- Recognized by the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) as the 2013 Student Conduct Professional of the Year.- Brought together stakeholders from athletics, student life, police departments, and community agencies to discuss safety, wellbeing, and prevention efforts.- Served as a member of and aided in the training of the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) to assist students in crisis when met with a major life circumstance, or incident.- Directed all facets of student and student organization conduct processes, including conflict resolution services and faculty/staff grievance process, for 20,000 students.- Liaised with department heads and faculty to ensure that students' rights were preserved when they the academic misconduct process.- Created educational outreach programs and served as a resource to the University community on issues of student conduct, student organization conduct and conflict resolution.

As a trained conflict mediator, I worked with stakeholders to identify the harm and pathways to repair that harm to move forward. Using the university's Code of Student Conduct, I worked to create learning and development moments for students through identifying the root cause of their choices and what brought them to the office. I provided proactive and reactive support for the university's 50+ student organizations when their decisions were out of alignment with campus and/or community policies, procedures, and practices.Responsibilities:- I cultivated the professional development of one dedicated Graduate Assistant and all graduate student practicum students.- I coordinated the student organization discipline process, ensuring compliance with student organization procedures while partnering with sorority and fraternity life and inter/national fraternity and sorority headquarters.- I provided logistical coordination for Dean of Students Office investigative proceedings.- I created and guided and prevention education campaigns, "Know the Code" and social host liability, which also included conversations with student athletes on what it means to be a role model.

Identified as a utility player for the Dean of Students Office, my role shifted to include an additional functional area while maintaining many of my prior responsibilities. I began to ask questions about how our student organizations were being held accountable and that led to some opportunities for change and the creation of a nationally-recognized student organization accountability process.Responsibilities and accomplishments:- Coordinated with stakeholders to the create of a learning-centered, root cause analysis focused student organization discipline process to ensuring compliance with procedures.- Stewarded a benchmarking and assessment project for the student governance process and procedures at the university that would allow for advocacy of a diverse student population.- Provided upskilling to my people leader, the Associate Dean of Students, to create a shared coaching team for the Student Government Association (SGA), including direct relationships with the Executive and Assembly Officers.- Developed and implemented trainings, retreat curriculum, development sessions and transition programs for the SGA.

In this newly created role, I worked to ensure that the student component of the university's commitment to shared governance functioned with student leaders who felt empowered and ready to advocate for their fellow students. I also was tasked with the recruitment, retention, and development of the graduate student team members for the Dean of Students Office.This position allowed me to:-Coach and guide the Student Government Association (SGA), direct relationship with the Executive and Assembly Officers.- Provide for the skill development of the Graduate Assistant for Student Government Association Advisement and support staff.- Cultivate and implement a competency-based comprehensive training and professional development sessions for sixteen Graduate Assistants, including the introduction of a Learning Contract to provide for the mutual benefit to the team members and their units.- Coordinate the recruitment and select process for nine student development units of the Dean of Students Office.

My position called me to engage in ensuring the education and development of students to advocate, lead, and support the development of an insitutional culture where students' are met and they feel they belong through inclusive approaches to programming for a diverse student body.- Provided leadership and ensureed the development of the Graduate Assistant for Student Government Association Advisement and Programming and two student specialists.- Advised the University Program Board’s (UPB’s) Redbird Entertainment Committee (Concerts & Comedians) and Redbird Spirit Committee (Homecoming & Spirit Events).- Coached and guided the Student Government Association, direct relationship with the Executive and Assembly Officers.- Served as fiscal agent for SGA and UPB Committee budgets totaling approximately $225,000 and ensured the compliant distribution of those resources.- Created and implemented developmental opportunities for the SGA, UPB Committees and RSO Program Fund Fee Board that expanded their perspectives and prepared them to create spaces of belonging and mattering on campus.
