Leveraged lazy creation paradigms to ensure a seamless transition to dark mode availability and enable selected mode persistence across page loads. Employed color theory principles and used existing color design websites to provide end users with a visually appealing UI.Contributed to at-scale live domain migration to switch website, utilities, and services from deprecated domain to new domain. Partially rewrote and modified two auto-mailing bot utilities in Java to provide users with received mail confirmation and data change notifications, and facilitated data intake by parsing emails and safely storing contained information. Leveraged Mailgun RESTful API and Zoho mailing platform to send and receive emails under the new domain. As a team, we established an OAuth pattern to connect users with their YouTube account, created a schema to store the results of GET requests into MongoDB, designed a frontend from which the user can access and manage their YouTube videos to choose which to monitor (along with a subscription-tier based video monitoring limit). To support the frontend, we established a hunter service to get comments and replies from the YouTube videos the client chooses to monitor, as well as a means by which users can reply to comments and replies using POST requests. Learned and taught skills relating to JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, Express, Passport, Angular, HTML, CSS, MongoDB (the MEAN stack). Learned skills relating to working with Senior Devs, leading a team, working with an established and expansive codebase, making and managing API requests, practicing good coding practices, and managing bugs.
