I was hired to teach Career Tech Ed in Gambell Alaska starting in the 2021-2022 school year. I was EHS Coordinator since May 2019 at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company in Cresson, Texas - west of Ft Worth. The previous 3 years were fruitful at Olam as EHS Coordinator there. The TRIF and LTIFR rates went down nicely as there was great buy-in from the Management and from the hourly staff. I truly love everyone there and miss them. It was bittersweet leaving there to work an hour closer to home, for a fair raise. From October 2010 to May 1, 2015 I was privileged to work as a Safety Man for Trinidad Drilling in the US. The position was as Field Coordinator on the Trinidad HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Team. As an auditor, trainer, mentor, and coach, I was able to be a part of seeing the total (OSHA) recordable incident rate go down from 7.2 to around 0.9 in less than 5 years. Preparing the rigs for OSHA visits, seeing implementation of safety processes, and working closely with the rig hands was most enjoyable and rewarding. More recently, in June and July, I completed an HSE consulting contract for Black Eagle Energy Svcs and Phillips 66. I have coached wrestling for 10 years and soccer for one in the public school setting. We won the soccer district championship, and my wrestling teams were top twenty teams every year that I was the Head Coach. Also, I have taught PE or Spanish for those years and then some! I would like to teach PE, develop another twenty or more All-State Champions in wrestling, and win the State Team Championship too.Specialties: mentoring, training, skills analysis, program development and implementation, focus grouping, situation drilling, planning and achieving goals
