I revived and automated our customer Lifetime Revenue analysis to become an always-available, auto-refreshing dashboard with Tableau, Hadoop, Oozie, SQL. Leveraged this pipeline to spread analysis to multiple brandsThen, I converted a monthly 50 work-hour process for Customer Renewal analysis into a hands-off automated process and extended the analysis to a suite of dashboards. I refactored a full stack monolithic Python impression platform into a lean serverless sub-1000 line cloud of services in AWS. We are now simple, scalable, and unit and integration tested. A user's impression will go from click to cloud database in seconds, all securely and at scale

I am the primary developer creating a mobile medical residency solution with React Native, MySQL, and Docker. This is a spec project, starting from zero and will be deployed to the first round of pilot users soon.I have learned a lot on this project, creating and connecting all of the components for the full stack. I enjoy the challenge and perspective of finally seeing a project through beginning to end, top to bottom.

I teach programming in Java to help students excel with the AP Computer Science curriculum and become excellent developers. My lessons range from fundamentals and OO programming to industry best practices and code ethics. Since I began tutoring, I have deepened my ability to explain abstract concepts to non-developers and increased my appreciation for empathy in programming. The hardest part is not making them understand how to make the program work, but helping them understand why they need to go beyond just functionality to consider future functionality, security, integrity, maintainability, and more. I also tutor most of the Mathematics courses, for when things get triggy.

At Magenic, I learned so much. I had the opportunity to work on every area of the .NET stack, from designing databases and ETL processes to coding REST endpoints to creating fully featured web pages from specifications. Working in teams on monolithic, highly integrated code was new and challenging to me, but I gained an appreciation for developing simple, reusable, /readable/ code in a way that multiplied what I could have accomplished alone. Programming was now more than just a chance to solve interesting puzzles with the most versatile set of rules possible. I learned instead that making awesome things is a intricate process of programming, yes, but discussion, design, iteration, review, and so much testing. At first, I was daunted by all of this, but Magenic taught me to be excited by learning and growing as a developer.
