I provide outstanding team leadership in managing a team towards expediting test program and test suite development in achieving quality as well as capacity objectives. Here, spearhead cross-functional partnership with silicon architect, board design, system validation, factory as well as tools development in defining and developing test collaterals for high volume manufacturing silicon testing.Part of the role is to ensure swift problem solving of issues relating to platform readiness support. This is done thorough carrying out review of new product specifications to identify test gaps while at the same time develop test methodology definition for new device features and functionality.To enhance quality improvement, I continuous improve existing test methods while seek innovative alternatives to lower test times. Having successfully setup the entire BIOS evaluation lab, I was promoted to manage the implementation of BIOS/EFI development for Intel Desktop Boards where I have expanded the team from 5 BIOS Engineers into 14.Backed with my solid team leadership experience, I drove and transformed the team in providing world class support through sustainable ownership support model. I also provided comprehensive problem solving support to all APAC/PRC customers, core module ownership as well as new product launches while managed independent BIOS vendors.Continuous quality improvement is paramount, hence I constantly identified and enhanced subordinates’ skills set gaps through periodical training while promoted information sharing on EFI coding conversion amongst team members.Lastly, I formed as well as led a cross-functional partnership in deploying the second offshore BIOS development and evaluation team in China in ensuring self-reliance within the APAC team.The highlights of my tenure included successfully transforming the team knowhow from legacy BIOS development to Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) through in depth training and hands on exposure towards operational readiness in just 3 quarters.

The lure of pioneering a new offshore (outside US) BIOS evaluation lab for Intel® Desktop Board organization encouraged me to take on this role. The role involved providing quality leadership and initiating cross-functional partnership to generate new test towards ensuring new features that introduced are bugs free.This involved mentoring and training all peers as well as Independent BIOS Vendors and Original Design Manufacturer on the evaluation test methodologies in order to build a strong team equipped with the technical competencies as well as problem solving and quality improvement skill sets to handle different evaluation platform requests.All in all, it was an amazing experience.

My strong performances as an IT Associate prompted the management to offer me this role. My main responsibility was to provide comprehensive problem solving support to internal customer through phone by hitting First-Time-Resolve resolution. This involved plenty of call pattern analysis in defining the stagger break time for call consultant to avoid high abundant rate.Besides that, I spearheaded a team in initiating cross-functional partnership towards consolidating the Kulim TAC to Penang as Malaysia TAC continued by Japan TAC to Malaysia and Greater Asia Region (GAR) TAC where I was exposed to site specific application knowledge and processes during the transfer.Besides that, I also led the Continuous Improvement Program to improve Call Consultant productivity rate and software resolution rate. This training was provided to all technical support engineers across GAR as part of support readiness for IT to deployed NT4.0 to all workstations.Lastly, I developed the CMS Online web which allow call consultant to check overall agent availability and queue calls.

I started my career in providing first level IT supports across server, desktop, telecommunication and production application. Here, my main role was to carry out problem solving activities through cross-functional partnership with related team members in delivering swift resolutions.Additionally, I was involved in debugging factory IT application, troubleshooting email exchange (ccMail), troubleshooting telecommunication (ISDN), maintaining backup tape and troubleshooting desktop and laptop HW issue.I also generated weekly operation summary report to the team leader. Learning from my team leader at that time, I gained tremendous exposure in quality improvement insights as well as team leadership.
