Rapidly set a course for growth and profitability by pursuing new business relationships with every major Home Builder, delivering more accurate and competitive quotes and increasing our focus and support for business development. Operational expectations were raised, more challenging standards of productivity were established and new productivity measures were created while restructuring the organization. In short order, we transformed a complacent culture into one with a sense of purpose, results oriented and focused on continuous improvement. Bold measures were required and delivered. *Launched a new sales Division focused on finishing yards we had partially installed. Easy money. *Within 60 days, sold and executed a 30% price increase to every major home builder resulting in a margin gain of 30 basis points on over 50% of our revenue. *Culture of safety established. Safety/Asset Manager position created. *Increased revenue 21% from May thru August compared to January thru April with a gain of $1.430M. *Net Income turned positive from May thru August compared to January thru April with a delta of $851,634. *EBITDA turned positive from May thru August (+$227,152) compared to January thru April (-$514,366). *Labor percentage decreased from a high of 28.6% in March to a low of 20.2% in May. Preexisting issues and underlying discontent caused significant team member turnover and turmoil beginning the day I started with over half the staff leaving within my first few weeks. The business was bleeding profit after losing $2M dollars in 2019 and on pace to repeat in 2020. Morale and team member trust was at an all-time low. Within 5 months, the business was restructured, the fallout was stabilized and great progress was made on rebuilding team morale and establishing trust. We selectively and carefully added high quality people to the team that remained and posted a profit to the bottom line that is now sustainable. An amazing turnaround in a short period of time and now producing the highest margins in the company by far made possible by the changes begun during my brief tenure. *Transformed business operations over a 5 month period leading to a level of profit making that had not been seen in years. *SGA costs reduced from 30%-40% of Net Sales down to as low as 15%. *Operating profit increased from an average of -20% to +4%. Overhead expenses significantly reduced and appropriately charged to Job Costs. *Team morale, trust, safety, productivity and Customer Service improved exponentially. *Warehouse was relayed, reorganized and made more efficient. 24 pallets of broken equipment was sent for repair. Dozens of storage vaults were emptied and sold. Consistent and significant increases in Accounts and Contacts and many more jobs "won".
