As a Solution Architect, I was aligned with VDOT's Enterprise Architecture (EA) team. Tasked with maturing VDOT's Technology & Solution Architecture capabilities, I developed solution designs and supporting technical diagrams/documentation to help executives understand the business need and solution investment opportunity, project managers understand technical challenges, risks and opportunities, and development teams implement reusable design patterns and enterprise services as VDOT modernizes and streamlines its application portfolio. I was also tasked with educating technical and non-technical audiences on enterprise architecture best practices. I developed training materials and provide subject matter expertise on broader training programs to help VDOT team members use mobile, social, and enterprise technology more meaningfully. As a student of technology and change management, I love supporting innovation and bringing groups together to create new solutions. I've led teams and developed mock-ups, pitch presentations, design concepts to support multiple hackathon and datathon events (1 - 2 day competitions where teams strive to build technology solutions or use data to solve complex problems) around technology, government, and transportation.

As a Business Integration Analyst, I was aligned to VDOT’s Office of Technology Strategic Planning. Tasked with providing exceptional rigor to VDOT's portfolio management for large technology projects, I developed program training and outreach materials, detailed process documentation, requirements, specifications, RFIs, RFPs and SORs and executive briefings.

• Implemented strategies to optimize inventory levels based on demand, lead time, criticality of material, raw material availability, supplier production schedules, and costs for 36 storerooms.• Monitored open order reports and lead communication efforts with storerooms and suppliers to manage delivery timeline impacts. Examples include sending change orders, confirming customer impact of changes, and expediting orders.• Identified impacts to on-hand targets and provided alternate solution options to prevent service level interruptions. Examples include researching alternate product availability, expediting delivery, and transferring material from other storerooms.• Analyzed warehouse capacity to meet incremental business requirements and opportunities.• Managed inventory levels to support requests with availability dates and unplanned usage.• Managed a rolling annual and monthly capital expenditure forecasting and budgeting process.• Issued purchase orders for products through SAP and forecasted demand to reserve production space.• Determined through research and root cause analysis the drivers of poor service levels and inventory performance problems. Examples include developing a model that considers the line item impact to overall inventory turns, and developed a process to research drivers (e.g. supplier mistakes, forecast variance, demand shifts, etc.).• Worked with commodity teams and suppliers to manage product transitions between vendors. • Coordinated transfers between centers to balance purchasing and inventory strategies.
