Jon attended Boston University until he began his career in 1986 as one of the youngest financial advisers at American Express in Boston. Two years later, in 1988, Jon received his CFP. In 1990 Jon became a Managing Principal and District Manager at American Express Financial Advisors and was picked to teach “Asset Allocation” and “Modern Portfolio Theory” to advisers at Amex. He taught the 300 plus advisers and planners in Boston and the Metro Market for over 6 years.In 1998, Jon left American Express to Join Commonwealth Financial Network, an independent Broker dealer. Jon formed Oak Leaf Wealth Management with partner Mark Williams CFP so that together they could offer independent advice to his clients.
