About Swetan Sagar

Swetan Sagar, holds an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal. He is currently heading the advocacy and development vertical at MFIN and and has a professional experience of 18 years. He has multi-country experience in the areas of microfinance, micro-insurance, enterprise promotion and BDS. His expertise is in designing large-scale research projects, conducting monitoring and evaluation of programmes, providing advisory and hand-holding services and strategic guidance to MFIs & enterprise promotion organizations. He also has significant experience in undertaking microfinance ratings and social performance assessments.Swetan started his career as a Marketing Manager for Jungle Lodges and Resorts, a chain of ecotourism resorts of Government of Karnataka. He joined EDA Rural Systems in 2000 (which has now merged with M-CRIL) and was as the Chief Operating Officer, M-CRIL before moving to MFIN in November 2017.
