I am currently pursuing my PhD under this Junior Research Fellowship Scheme of the UGC. My work revolves around examining the welfare impact of liberalisation on the edible oilseeds markets in India. The study seeks to present an ex-post welfare analysis adding to the ex-ante studies in this area. As part of the fellowship, I also engaged with undergraduate and post-graduate students on a range of subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics and behavioural economics. My engagement as included academic research at the undergraduate level. I organised research methodology orientation courses and supported over 10 students on their research reports and dissertations. The fellowship also enabled me to developed quantitative data analysis skills for econometric modelling and analysis of survey data. I attended and conducted various training workshops in this area to upgrade my skills.
