I have spent my career at the intersection of technology, media, education, and marketing in service of improving people’s lives. Currently, I lead digital strategy at the American Battlefield Trust and oversee all aspects of the Trust's digital presence including (digital) fundraising, marketing, and education. Previous to that experience, I was the creator of the Bedsider birth control support network at The National Campaign to to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. The program, built on insights from the human-centered design process, was proven to improve the reproductive health behaviors of young adults in a ground-breaking study published in 2015. Before that, I was the Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum where I built the museum's web presence and used technology as a tool to inform the world about the history of the Holocaust and to use that knowledge to motivate people to act to end contemporary genocide. In my second home of Athens, Greece, I have consulted on various projects for clients including the Athens Metro and museums of Greek history. I graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Television, Radio, and Film, and later earned a Masters degree in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation from Syracuse University’s School of Education.I find inspiration from playing tennis, sea kayaking in Greece, art, and a good book.Specialties: Behavior change, human-centered design, branding, needs analysis, strategy, staff development, non-profit business environment, digitization, all aspects of website production, video production, evaluation, project management, IT management, fundraising.
