Overseen the school-age before & after school program by promoting a safe, consistent, and academically stimulating environment. Assure that proper records are maintained on staff, equipment, and facilities as required for Health Department/PA DPW/YMCA/STARS/Governmental agency regulations and guidelines. Participate in any and all fundraising/ networking campaigns. Maintain daily attendance records, mobile emergency contact binders, trip binders, allergy reports, and other mission-critical documentation. Creates an engaging and fun curriculum, including weekly themes & clubs, to continue developing skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, leadership, and much more.

As a Youth Development Counselor, I worked with a team of role models to create daily activities to ensure engagement and a rich learning environment.

Warminster, Pennsylvania

Warwick Residential House was filled with fun, valuable lessons, and character-building opportunities. I supervised the children while creating a therapeutic environment for them to do group activities and provided 1:1 counseling if needed. During times of dysregulation, I worked with a team with the intent of using de-escalating techniques and ABA. I worked with numerous therapists and case managers to devise and implement treatment strategies for each resident.

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

During my tenure at Access Services, I developed, reviewed, and updated several Rehabilitation plans with clients. With my assistance, these individuals participated in recovery-oriented, strength-based collaboration tasks. My main objective for individuals served was to educate them and their families on treatment options that would ultimately reduce hospitalizations.

Reading, Pennsylvania Area

Hope Rescue Mission (HRM) is located in Reading, PA, and is a homeless shelter for men. They offer four residential programs and case management services where Social Workers connect residents to additional resources outside of HRM. Their main focus is to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support while residents transition back into the community. In this field assignment, I observed case management services. With supervision, I had an opportunity to serve clients one-on-one by completing assessments and exit plans, while also volunteering for other services like street outreach.

Greater Philadelphia Area

Steppingstone Scholars provided STEM summer classes for students in the Philadelphia area grades 6-9. At Steppingstones, my task consisted of designing a wide variety of activities to stimulate the interest, involvement, and engagement of students. This was a fun a great summer opportunity I had through Ameri Corps.

Kutztown University

American Reads partnered with various after-school programs in the Reading and Allentown area, including the Boys and Girls club, to motivated students towards learning and studying to build self-confidence.
