I am a Senior IT Solutions Architect Engineer with over 30 years of experience in F50/F500 enterprise-class systems. Ten years of virtualization (Windows, Solaris) and various cloud platforms. I have quite a bit of experience with cloud platforms, cloud migrations (lift and shift, greenfield and redesign), and proven ability to document, implement, PM manage, design, and troubleshoot complex large-scale systems. This is often an upstream and downstream dependencies process, considering all performance (key among these may be ROI, regulatory, security, AAA, and latency), DR, and BC SLA requirements. These can be mitigated and if performed properly, a significant ROI is achieved. Designed, engineered, and implemented many environments, with emphasis on high availability, virtualization, and heterogeneous clouds, identify management, security, disaster recovery and business continuity (DR/BCCM), monitoring and performance management. Extensive experience with virtual machines, P-V and data migration, IAM, RBAC, MFA, IaaS, PaaS, DaaS IDaaS and SaaS within Azure, AWS, SunGard, OpenStack, and other cloud systems. This includes SSO On-prem to Cloud SAML2 and Oath2, and OpenID Connect with such tools as ISAM, JWT, ADFS, F5 llb, and WAP, Centrify, Ping, and Cyberark. I have worked with multiple flavors and streams for DevOps, including Jenkins, git/bitbucket/TFS/ AzureDevOps onto cloud DEV/ TEST models, which can be on-prem. Other technologies such as Artifactory have also been used.Managed level 1-3 engineering teams in multiple critical environments; as well as vendor relationships and third-party applications, including retail (PCI), PII, HIPAA, and SOX with market data providers, back-office systems, and trade execution plants. The technology consists of multiple separated VLANS, SDN technology, firewall, packet shapers, and accelerators, advanced DNS and F5 GTM/LTM HA clusters, WAP/proxies and Extended DMZ; isolated DMZ1, DMZ2, DMZ3, Open APPI3 JWT encrypted assertions, and other multi-layer concepts (as well as endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions with IoT; MDM, PKI with chained X.509 certificates, LDAPS, HPe Aruba ClearPass, Airwave, Intune, and MobileIron (IOS, Android, Windows CE). SSO and managed/federated domains and IAM with multiple companies email and SharePoint solutions,Hands-on development with collaboration software, VoD, Office 365 with AAD, and Azure connectivity (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Slack, and others). JIRA, Git, Remedy, ITSM, and others for change management and PCLM and SDLC.

Sr. Solutions Cloud ArchitectTeksystems Jun 2019 - Nov 2019Hanover, Md, UsWorking under a globally geographically spread F500 company on the Cloud Architecture platform. I have been part of the effort to migrate all applications to the cloud (targeted to be agnostic across the two largest cloud providers).Along with 20 forthcoming waves of migrating a thousand plus apps and Petabytes of data, there is an effort to reorganize the existing cloud implementations, from a cloud legacy IaaS, grid and scalar VM's and RDBMS or not quite rightly implemented NoSQL, for Actuary and other data modeling, trading, GL and many other functional processes to the latest CICD (Agnostic) agile code development with Service Mesh, orchestration and choreography, server-less functions, with cross-cutting functional attributes; such as; shared caching between pier container pods, logging, WORM logging, monitoring, regulatory and other core and non-core services. What we can do with server-less compute: functions, PaaS, SaaS, and No-SQL data constructs will build upon a base registry of core APIs utilizing Open API 3, Swagger and JHipster, JSON JWT tokens for secured parameters with internal X.509 certificate assertions and payloads where required. In this encrypted environment, and in due course, separating PII, PCI, and SOX data into differing systems, some of that being SaaS, such as BigID and hashed record keys. This should avail in multi-million dollar savings effort for FY2020 and become NY DFS, CCPA, GDPR and other regulatory commitments. -
Senior Associate Cloud Architect ManagerCognizant Jan 2019 - May 2019Teaneck, New Jersey, UsAssigned to KPMG account in New Jersey, to promote and manage KPMG effort to incrementally upgrade from Cloud 1.5 to Cloud 2.0. Unfortunately, the client was not keen on 8/10th of the team being offshore and (IST). An SOW labeled requirement to have tied-in multiple tenants and subscriptions share CORE resources while maintaining and managing their own IAM and RBAC AAD accounts, under one forest (or as yet uninvented technology), meshing with differing governance and policies and SCP agnostic, is not realistic.Further, the concept of Microservices, a service mesh layer, orchestration, and or choreography, with cross-cutting objects, for things like monitoring, logging, or perhaps proprietary actions) upon immutable objects, with RESTFUL API's (e.g. OpenAPI 3), and serverless computing and other leading-edge technologies seemed out-of-reach. I resigned. -
