To facilitate efficient processes I defined, planned, and tracked integrated master schedules throughout the full development life-cycle from requirements definition and vendor selection through phase gate reviews and final testing. Other contributions to efficient operations included conducting pre-planning processes, organizing and allocating staff and resources to control scope, schedule, and budget. Realized significant reductions in program costs and risk by leading initiatives to second source critical parts. Enhanced customer satisfaction by ensuring formal program responses to all change requests and proposals.Managed budgets to within 5% of program labor and CapEx budgets over $160M. Executed component and system level hardware and software qualification testing in close collaboration with internal lab environment managers to ensure alignment with specifications.

During my time with Gogo I built the Engineering Program Management Office with a staff of 17 charged with directing over 20 hardware and software development programs for commercial aviation. Oversaw all product development initiatives including SatCom Ku products and cellular technologies. My role included managing the full vendor process for hardware development from contract award, SOW, and specifications through pre-qualification testing and formal qualification on all programs. Spearheaded development of multi million-dollar lab for system level testing, resulting in significant reduction in product defects, supported Project Manager by obtaining resource approval and clearing roadblocks. Enhanced planning and resource usage by developing metrics to examine and measure available capacity, identifying potential to accept additional programs and demonstrating the need to hire additional staff. Optimized both process discipline and project quality by introducing best practice strategies such as risk registers, issues list, change control log, lessons learned, and corrective action requests.
