Backend work involved developing a CGI program in C for constructing HTTP GET and POST request for Apache Tomcat Servlet Engine. Implemented a system in mod_perl to track user behavior to existing products and new campaigns through HTTP cookie. First implmented in Servlet but later on moved to mod_perl for performance gain. My work in mod_perl gave me insights into Apache module lifecycle, understanding of which was critical to successfully implementing the system.
