About Syanthan Selvakumaran
I am a 3rd-year mechanical engineering student with prior experience in the industry looking to broaden my horizons by securing a co-op work placement. Growing up, I always had an increasing fascination with the machines and mechanisms that surround us in today's world. I realized that the more I learned, the more I found the field of mechanical engineering to be delightfully intriguing. Leading the mechanical team to represent Team Sri Lanka at the FIRST Global Robotics Olympiad was one of the core experiences that cemented my desire to pursue a career in engineering. Collaborating with my team to design, prototype and test mechanisms was enthralling, and to see it all come together at the end and be awarded a judges award for engineering design was truly a life changing experience. Now I am looking for new challenges, as I search for a co-op position to gain more hands-on experience and apply the skills I have developed throughout my education.
