Principal Airworthiness Lead
CurrentProvides Airworthiness Certification support to the Army Futures Command System Readiness Directorate (SRD) as a subject matter expert per civilian and military standards, such as the AMACC and DO-178C, including both DoD systems and commercial systems. Reviews and audits in all phases of software development to include software requirements, analysis, design, code, integration, unit, and verification test for compliance with airworthiness certification.• Attend audits and other supplier facing meetings, providing analysis in real time to US Government (USG) participants. Due to capability to assimilate and further explain certification issues, requested to attend supplier facing meetings for multiple rotor craft Programs.• Lead competition phase sub-supplier audits, leading to identification of issues to be resolved in future phases of development.• Sole USG reviewer for army software certification authority providing early review of USG created rotor craft Post Production Software Support (PPSS) planning documents, prior to internal formal USG review and formal submission to USG certification authority for approval. • Lead effort to propose updates to the Army Military Airworthiness Certification Criteria (AMACC) Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML). Worked with the AI Working Group (AIWG) and created initial draft of an outline of the necessary updates to the AMACC to the United States Government (USG) stakeholders.•Reviewed and helped write a position paper on MOSA, and how the AMACC might need to be updated to support MOSA/MBSE/DE, etc. Reviewed paper as it was being developed, added content and helped develop position.
