In this role, I managed global internal and external communications initiatives for the largest manufacturer of generic drugs in Canada, which also has operations in dozens of countries across the world.I was responsible for executing the digital communications strategy for the organization's social media pages and intranet, including driving development of timely, newsworthy high-quality content for internal and external audiences. I also worked effectively with leaders in Canada, the U.S. and India to execute our communications strategy, including evaluating and addressing global communications needs and providing strategic advice to senior leaders on critical issues.Please click on the images below to view some examples of my work.

As a senior member of the Communications & Stakeholder Relations team, I provided corporate and executive communications support to the hospital, with a focus on several portfolio areas such as the Tory Trauma Program (including Critical Care and the Ross Tilley Burn Centre) and the Infection Prevention & Control group for the duration of the pandemic. In my role, I managed a high volume of work in a demanding environment for a variety of stakeholders and audiences, including staff, patients, media, government and the general public. I built and maintained relationships and provided strategic advice to clients across the organization, including senior executives.My responsibilities included issues/crisis management, press releases, media relations, branding, strategic communications planning, internal communications and intranet, speech-writing for the CEO and senior leaders for events, and video scripting. I was also a writer and storyteller for Sunnybrook’s digital channels and publications, including the Sunnybrook Magazine, and used principles of plain language and health literacy when appropriate.During the COVID-19 pandemic, I managed the hospital’s external and internal COVID-19 communications strategy. This included managing the crisis communications response when the first COVID-19 patient in Canada was admitted to Sunnybrook in January 2020; responding to hundreds of media requests during the pandemic, sometimes as spokesperson; establishing the hospital as a trusted source of information by conceptualizing and creating content to share on the hospital’s COVID-19 website and digital channels; and gathering and evaluating critical communications and operational information to write frequent COVID-19 update emails, which were sent out to 10,000+ staff.Please click on the images below to view some examples of my work.
