Beyond Bullying aims to investigate and expand the terms of cultural recognition and social belonging surrounding LGBTQ sexuality and youth in U.S. schools by shifting the focus from individual bullied youths to affirmative and generative notions of LGBTQ lived experiences, knowledge, affects, and rights communicated through interactive, multimedia storytelling.

Support C.H.A.T. (Curbing HIV/AIDS Transmission) a youth-led peer ed program funded by the Offices of Minority Health; that utilizes social networking and new media to teach other youth positive sexuality practices and HIV prevention.Developed peer sexual health education curriculum, led trainings and workshops for 15 peer educators, co-created and maintained social networking sites, created community partnerships nationally and responsible for grant reporting and deliverables

Beyond Risk: The evaded curriculum in Sexuality Education for homeless and marginally housed young women Nearly 4,000 young people are homeless in San Francisco annually. As that number increases, sexuality researchers routinely focuses on sexuality among young people as a problem. In an interview study of young women who identify as homeless and/or marginally housed, I explore the complexities of these young women’s sexual lives. The study’s findings prompt recommendations that advocates, providers, researchers, and programmers develop programs and studies that take into consideration both the universal sexual struggles and pleasures experienced by young women and the unique circumstances of those young women who are homeless and marginally housed. In order to meet these general and specific needs, programs should include tools and discussions of how to minimize discomfort of sexual activity and how to maximize and enhance both safety and pleasure.

Supported and provided evidence based short term counseling for survivors of sexual violence. Accompanied and supported survivors through rape kits, police reports, general hospital procedure, and linkages to after-care and support. Maintained a weekly crisis hotline shift for the agency.
