I lead the instructional side of our organization, including the Teaching and Learning, Accountability and Compliance, and Special Populations teams, with internal professional development and performance management. I manage budgets and contracts for services and evaluation of services toward efficient and effective services. I serve on three advisory boards with local districts and universities.

I led the Teaching, Learning, and Compliance team including education specialists for ACE compliance and content, instructional technology, Eduphoria, TEKS Resource System, and Lesson Study. I consult ed leaders and trained T-TESS, T-PESS, and AEL as well as Impact and Action Coaching.

I led the curriculum team, Eduphoria, TEKS Resource System, and Lesson Study specialists. I led appraisal training for the region as a trainer of T-TESS, T-PESS, AEL, Impact Coaching, and general leadership training.

Doing contracted work for a number of education entities, I designed and delivered personalized training, performed grant evaluations, and conducted campus snapshot diagnostics and reporting. I also supported online GT learning and student teacher supervision for Region 17 during this time.

I enjoyed leading secondary ELAR and K-12 GT support and training during this time. Additionally, I was certified in appraisal training for instructional leaders (PDAS and ILD). I partnered with other departments in the ESC to support schools in PBIS, campus improvement, and CIP/DIP work.

I hated to leave this job but did so due to marrying a great guy in another town! ;-) I supported principals and assistant principals in their work, especially around policy, discipline, and truancy. I served as the district truancy officer making our court appearances to work toward solutions for absenteeism. I also worked in district test coordination. I served with the district leadership team in service across many program areas to ensure district success.

Led skill and mindset development for technology integration for a campus of 800 students, made decisions on campus-based programs and implementation training, and performed troubleshooting including prioritizing the most critical tasks and coordinating with the district team for support.

I taught English and Reading for 7th and 8th grade before moving into teaching technology courses, including writing a digital media course curriculum. I taught the web design course including an early method of a chat feature for the campus and taught the yearbook class as they created the campus yearbook.
