A successful career for me would uplift others and challenge the status quo, which starts with imagining more equal, just, and inclusive communities. I am currently working to achieve those goals through philanthropy, storytelling, and information access, while also deconstructing my white identity and privilege. I am committed to creating and upholding safe spaces—not centered on my definition of safe—and using my positional power to examine what is purportedly known in my career and beyond. Ultimately, my personal growth relies on dismantling my own ways of knowing. My values in growth, kindness, relationship-building, diversity, and justice guide my decision-making and interactions with others. What I am still learning in hard skills, I make up for in compassion for others, devotion to commitments, and advocacy for justice.
