I participated in the Rockford Gifted Academy from 6th to 12th grade and graduated from the dual credit program through Rock Valley College in December 2020 with a 4.0 GPA. I then went on to graduate from Auburn High School in June of 2021 with a 4.3 GPA. I am set to graduate with a BS in biology and a BS in psychology with a counseling and chemistry double minor in December 2024 and am planning on matriculating into medical school in Fall 2026 (fingers crossed). I'm passionate about working in pediatrics and rural health. I've held multiple leadership positions in my time at NIU; as secretary of the Residence Hall Association, Vice-president of the forthcoming Alpha Epsilon Delta NIU chapter, as part of the leadership team for NIU's Huskie Food Pantry, and as a Community Advisor in NIU's residence halls. I've spent many hours volunteering with Northwestern (Kishwaukee) Hospital as a part of their desk team, as well as at the Huskie Food Pantry. I have been honing my research skills through work in Dr. Angela Grippo's neuropsychology lab at NIU, and have been helping them with their studies since August 2023.I find meaning in prioritizing my education, serving the community, and working my way toward a healthcare career where I can spend my life helping others in the incredibly fascinating and ever-changing field that is medicine.
