I’m Sydney, a Technical Program Manager for Microsoft's Office of Applied Research in Redmond, WA. I support data, privacy, security, compliance, and computing infrastructure efforts for applied research across the Experiences + Devices (product & engineering) organization. In the recent past, I've developed and maintained compliant and secure data pipelines, enabling the collection and use of telemetry in privacy-preserving ways. With data scientists, researchers, and engineers, I helped leverage new types of interactions (from consumer Copilots) to understand and improve AI performance and alignment. I've also delivered meaningful, cohesive, and empowering privacy experiences (including privacy notices, consents, documentation, & more) around new AI/ ML technologies like Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Copilot Pro. I work closely with researchers, engineers, lawyers, data scientists, UX & content designers, marketers, external customers, and more. I graduated from The George Washington University School of Business in May of 2022, obtaining a BBA in Information Systems and Technology Management and a minor in Public Policy. My past coursework consists of MIS development & operations management, database design & application, public policy, advanced mathematics & statistics, ethics, and advanced physics. I'm particularly skillful in technology and business management, systems development, policy, and mathematics.
