As part of the Franchise Quality Assurance Engineering group, my primary focus is on understanding the root cause of contact lens customer complaints and then finding ways to mitigate those problems whether they occur in production, distribution, or in the care of the customer. Everyday I use data analysis, engineering fundamentals, and problem solving to not only improve our manufacturing processes but improve the experience our customers have with their contact lenses. Some of the skills I have been able to utilize in this position are: engineering experimentation, data analysis, root cause investigation, and mechanical design. I have also been exposed to Good Manufacturing Process (GMP),CAPAs, and non-conformances; and have written quality documents such as process validation and improvement documents.

-Worked with mechanical engineers to design the mast of a submarine. -Converted hand drawn sketches into SolidWorks files.

-Assessed infrastructure in the coastal zone to see if it was structurally fit to withstand climate change and coastal dangers. -Used a graphic information system to determine which areas of the island were at risk to disasters.
