I am an undergraduate student at Griffith University currently studying a Bachelor of Environmental Science with a dual major in Environmental Management & Soil and Water Science. I love being active and outdoors, which I attribute to being raised in Mackay - a place rich in natural scenery. My appreciation for nature has led to my decision to pursue a career in the field. I believe our treatment of the environment is not sustainable and needs to change, and I want to be part of that change. I consider myself a patient and kind spirited person, but also pride myself on my dedication to what I am passionate about. I owe much of my diligence to my studies and hobbies. I played tennis competitively for over 7 years, and the violin throughout school. Not being naturally talented in either, a diligent approach to practice proved its worth. Despite tennis being an individual sport, I travelled with my team, represented them, practiced and supported them. I met people from diverse backgrounds and created lifelong friendships. As for the violin, I was not musically gifted, and somehow managed to be consistently out of rhythm. However, I am far too stubborn to give up, and ended up playing for many years and received various awards for my school performances. Currently my studies are my sole focus. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing unique perspectives and I am ultimately seeking opportunities to gain experience and connections in this field.
