Coordinating clinical trials on sleep and pain in various patient populations is my current role as a Research Program Coordinator at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I execute experimental sessions, collect and analyze data, perform sensory, physical, and cognitive testing, and administer and score psychological and cognitive assessments. I also train and supervise newly hired research staff and ensure compliance with IRB and ethical standards. My passion for trauma informed care and advocacy stems from my work as a Peer Advocate at Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates (SAPA), a nationally renowned organization that provides confidential support and resources for survivors and those affected by sexual violence. I completed 80+ hours of intense training annually and went on call for 24-hour phone and online crisis lines. I also facilitated and presented educational and awareness programs on campus and in the community. I graduated from Central Michigan University with a BA in Psychology and minors in Spanish and Advertising, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor at Wake Forest University Graduate School. My goal is to use my skills and knowledge to help others heal and thrive.
