Sydney Scott is a bilingual Digital Marketing professional with experience in startup business development, editorial publications, non-profits, music companies, and technology platforms. She is a 2024 graduate from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music with a Masters in Music Industry. During her time at Frost, Sydney was a member of Cat 5 Music, GrammyU, as well as UMiami's Track & Field team where she competed as a sprinter and jumper. In 2023, she became a finalist in the Hurricane Innovation Prize competition for her startup, Who's Next UP? Music.Sydney earned a Bachelors from Brown University in 2022 with an independently-created concentration in Entrepreneurship and Music Innovation. During her time at Brown, Sydney was also a member of the Brown Track & Field team, the prestigious Shades of Brown a capella group, and two campus committees dedicated to advocating for the interests of student athletes. She holds both athletic and academic honors in the Ivy League and ACC. She is currently the Marketing Director at Black Connect, a national non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating the racial wealth gap by supporting the number and success rate of small, Black-owned businesses in the U.S.With a professional background in startups and small businesses, she has specialized skill sets in community building, copywriting, events planning, social media management, startup development, and brand management.In addition to music, entrepreneurship, and marketing, Sydney is also passionate about social activism within institutional spaces!
