Co-lead the development and execution for the 2024 Athlete Activism Summit in Louisville, Kentucky. Responsible for outreach, event schedule, partnerships, speaker coordination, and attendee communications. Support the Policy & Programs team in the re-launch of Champions of Inclusion by reaching out to schools, students, and advisors to promote COI, gather feedback, encourage early adoption/endorsement, obtain quotes for use during the campaign launch.Re-establish the “Campus Chapter Program" and serve as the primary point of contact for student-athlete chapter members and faculty advisors by handling day-to-day interactions.

Collaborated with adidas to establish the organization’s first Student-Athlete Leadership Summit at the University of Miami. The Summit served as a catalyst for empowering LGBTQ+ collegiate athletes, featuring a comprehensive program of facilitated workshops, activities, and panel discussions.In June 2022, supervised every facet of the Summit. Responsible for developing engaging workshops and thought-provoking topics of discussion. Managed outreach efforts, successfully communicated with esteemed panelists and attendees. Effectively managed RSVPs and attendance records. In June 2023, appointed to organize the Athlete Activism Summit in Seattle, Washington with the objective of building upon the success of the previous year. Managed outreach and event registration, designed the official Summit landing page, handled event.

Led a committee of 40+ student-athletes serving as primary representatives of their teams. Ran meetings, facilitated discussions, coordinated initiatives, and served as the direct liaison between student-athletes and administrators. Managed the SAAC budget, organized student-athlete events, and advocated for academic support measures for student-athletes.

Curated the “You Belong” campaign and associated social media content as part of departmental DEI efforts. The campaign was directed at addressing discrimination within the Athletics department and played a pivotal role in promoting the value of diversity in recruiting student-athletes. The campaign received the College’s 2022 Values in Action Award.

Demonstrated exceptional athletic skills, effective time management, strong communication, teamwork, and sportsmanship while representing the College of William & Mary.

Attended meetings, took comprehensive notes, and developed an understanding of diversity at the city government level.Updated the City’s Employee Handbook with more inclusive language and removed all gender-based references; compiled and organized data from the Employee Engagement Survey to further understand workers concerns regarding diversity in the workplace. Developed research in youth mental health, affordable housing, and minority-owned businesses for the allocation of ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) Funds for the City.Developed a comprehensive diversity calendar with scheduled social media posts for the government’s Instagram page and Twitter accounts. This initiative effectively increased overall engagement, while promoting diversity and inclusion online.

Represented William & Mary Athletics for CAA conference related matters, including the exploration of best practices and engagement in dialogue regarding key issues impacting student-athletes.

Partnership/advocacy lead dedicated to enforcement and education of Title IX, social justice, and gender equity. Led Capitol Hill Day with offices of Representative Takano, Senator Murphy, and Senator Feinstein to discuss trans-athlete rights, Title IX enforcement, and the importance of inclusion in athletics. Drafted Voice in Sport’s strategic priorities, “Ten Global Goals for Girls,” to ensure equal access, opportunity, and visibility in women’s athletics. Organized and presented Title IX training for 30+ advocates and student-athletes around the globe. Facilitated partnership with Athlete Ally to further develop and improve trans-athlete stance for Voice in Sport; leveraged Athlete Ally’s expertise to recommend pro-trans athlete strategies for company stance.
