In this position I assisted/shadowed the staff with counseling sessions, parenting classes, completed intake forms, and scheduled appointments for clients facing unplanned pregnancies and/or needing material/emotional support while raising their baby.

I assisted the Education team in lesson planning/teaching Vocational English as Second Language classes for refugees, collaborated with innovation team to design/implement new programs for next fiscal year, and conducted and documented research for implementation of new programs and community resources for refugees.

Cuzco, Peru

During this internship I lived with a host family in Peru, took Spanish lessons in the mornings, lesson planned and designed English classes and Bible studies in Spanish for children, and volunteered at Project Corason, a kids club in Cuzco. At the kids club I had the opportunity to help prepare dinner, facilitate group activities, and teach the English lessons I had prepared with the other interns.
