Being half Peruvian, my connection with airlines has always been apart of my life. To see my family across the world is so meaningful, and its thanks to airlines bringing people together. Fortunately, My junior year at WIU, I was able to do the Atlantis Program where in the span of one year, I was able to travel to 11 different countries all while studying in Europe. My thesis partner and I wrote a co-written thesis about the customer experience within an airline during COVID-19 during the last semester in Sweden. Aiming for leadership positions as soon as I got into University was an exciting challenge, and I became Vice President of Harm Reduction during my freshman year in Sigma Sigma Sigma, as well as some smaller positions my senior year such as Art Chair and Mentorship Coordinator. Within my first dorm's Government Hall, I was elected Social Media Chair where I posted flyers and managed the instagram for events that were thrown. These responsibilities helped me to learn different ways of leading my friends, leading my colleagues, and overall the importance of working together.
