When I was 14, I watched my younger brother and sister go to Occupational Therapy, and I saw what a huge difference it could make. Even as a kid, I was always looking for ways to help the people around me, and I knew this was how I wanted to help in my career! But I had also always wanted to write. Was it possible to become an Occupational Therapy Writer?After about 10 years in the field, I realized it was! I am passionate about communication. In my OT practice, I've helped my patients and coworkers by creating patient education materials, writing articles for parent support groups, and drafting proposals and in-services on complex treatment techniques and diagnoses. As a technical copywriter, I specialize in helping individuals and businesses take complex subjects and make them engaging, easy to understand, and motivating to the reader, whether that reader is a patient, a customer, a business, or a trained professional.
