What started as a part time position with Big Sky, I quickly earned a full time position to work with the owner as the lead design assistant and created my position as the Marketing Manager. This is the role, which motivated me to further a career in digital marketing, communications, and social media strategy. It brings together all of my skills plus my enthusiasm for working on special projects.• SOCIAL & DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT:Create original content for posts on: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter. I have an in-depth knowledge of HootSuite, and I monitor the activity of each social channel. Email marketing campaigns, blog posts, and using social media best practices were also under my purview.• COMMUNICATIONS:I'm the first person a customer meets at Big Sky, as well as the traffic manager keeping all client's projects organized. Promoting the company and our brand in print interviews as well as pitching design story ideas to local and national magazines is also a part of my role.• BRAND MANAGEMENTDevelop, amplify and synchronize unique tone and voice for dual brands each congruent with the brands’ individual identity. Creator of North Carolina’s first mobile boutique; converting a retro style trailer into a mobile interior design hub.• WEB CONTENT DEVELOPMENT:I led the effort to redesign the company website, create unique content, and graphics to support SEO and brand awareness. Also responsible for the maintenance of content development and E-commerce site for additional branches of the company.• COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTCoordinate, plan and participate in special events and tradeshows to expose and highlight both brands.• DESIGN ASSISTANT:Recommend and select fabrics, furniture, art, lighting, and finishes. Schedule contractors, create and authorize proposals and purchase orders, and oversee installations. • ADMINISTRATIVE:Oversee company operating systems, manage and schedule work flow. Recruit, hire staff and manage interns.
