Sydney is an autism advocate passionate about improving future outcomes of individuals with autism. Her mission is to research and introduce a more effective model to serve students with autism in public schools, using Applied Behavior Analysis and other evidence-based practices. As the Principal at Florida Autism Center of Excellence, a public charter school specialized for students with autism, Sydney is collecting valuable behind-the-scenes knowledge about how a public school can ensure students with autism receive the services that they deserve.For the short-term, Sydney wants opportunities to grow the community and programmatic impact of her school by bringing her strong background in autism, education, and behavior to organizations searching for a well spoken, passionate, and creative advocate for students with autism.For the long-term, Sydney is specifically looking for opportunities to learn and practice her advocacy skills and find meaningful mentorship that will prepare her for larger and more influential future advocacy opportunities for individuals with autism.
