As a student at UCLA, I am deeply engaged in the interdisciplinary study of African American history, culture, and politics through my African American Studies major. Complementing this, my Film minor allows me to explore visual storytelling and the power of media in shaping narratives. My coursework spans critical race theory, cultural expression, film analysis, and media production, equipping me with a nuanced understanding of the intersection between culture, representation, and social justice.

As a Bunche Fellow under the leadership of Dr. Walter Allen, I engage in faculty-led research focused on the conditions of Black life. The Bunche Fellows Program provides funding for undergraduate and graduate scholars to collaborate on critical research projects aimed at understanding and improving the social, political, and economic realities of Black communities. This experience has honed my research skills and deepened my understanding of systemic challenges and resilience within Black life across diverse contexts.

Selected as one of the nationally recognized collegiate members to participate in Leadership Delta, a prestigious program designed to foster and enhance leadership skills among sorors. Through mentorship and development opportunities, I work alongside distinguished sorority leaders, gaining valuable insights into leadership, service, and organizational management. The program equips me with tools to lead effectively, both within Delta Sigma Theta and in my broader community, while providing a strong foundation in mentorship, service, and advocacy.

As the Collegiate Arts and Letters Representative, I serve as a liaison between collegiate members and the national Arts and Letters Commission. My role involves promoting the arts as a vital component of our sorority’s mission by encouraging creativity, self-expression, and cultural awareness within our chapter and community. I organize events, initiatives, and programs that highlight African American artistic achievements, and I support sorors in exploring their artistic talents, from performing arts to literary and visual arts. Through this position, I help foster a strong connection between the arts and the sorority’s core values of scholarship, service, and sisterhood.

I manage the financial operations and ensure fiscal accountability within the organization. My responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budgets, and overseeing the collection and disbursement of funds. I collaborate with fellow officers to ensure transparency and compliance with financial policies, enabling our chapter to effectively support our community service initiatives and programs. This position has sharpened my financial management skills and enhanced my ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to members.

Leading a close-knit crew, I coordinated complex shots and handled key responsibilities such as budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. I co-founded the Bruinettes, an HBCU-inspired danceline at UCLA that performs at all home and basketball games. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space for Black dancers, providing a platform to showcase talent while fostering community and cultural pride within the university.

Served as both the Lead Actress and Producer on a feature film, balancing creative and production responsibilities. As the lead actress, I worked long hours memorizing multiple scripts and performing within tight time constraints, ensuring a deep, authentic portrayal of my character. In my producer role, I oversaw various aspects of production, from reviewing edits and working closely with the director to maintain the film's vision, to handling press engagements and managing further promotional opportunities. My dual role allowed me to shape the film both on screen and behind the scenes.

As a VoiceOver artist playing the role of Robby Malto, I honed my skills by working closely with fellow voice actors and learning to use professional tools like Twisted Wave and Source Connect from a home setup. My work extended to participation in Comic Con events in both New York and London, where I engaged with fans and industry professionals. This experience allowed me to further develop my craft in voice acting while navigating remote production and international events.

As an AAP Mentor, I provided guidance to Black Studies students interested in pursuing careers in the liberal arts or the film and TV industry after college. I offered support in navigating academic and professional pathways, sharing insights on creative industries, and helping students prepare for life beyond university. This mentorship allowed me to foster meaningful relationships and contribute to the success of future leaders in the arts.

I promoted cultural awareness and community engagement. One of my proudest accomplishments was organizing a community screening of "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," where I secured tickets for the entire Black community, including concessions. This initiative not only celebrated Black cinema but also fostered a sense of unity and pride among attendees. Through strategic outreach and collaboration, I strive to elevate the voice of the African student community at UCLA.

As a two-time Emmy-nominated actress on General Hospital, the longest-running show on television, I delivered a committed and impactful performance while handling extensive lines and long working hours. My role demanded emotional depth, consistency, and professionalism over an extended period, contributing to the show's success and maintaining its legacy. The recognition I received for my work reflects my dedication to the craft and ability to balance high expectations under challenging time constraints.
