I instructed small group and one-on-one literacy lessons with 3rd grade students to improve their reading, writing and math skills. Additionally, I collect, analyze and maintain accurate records of student progress using screening (DIBELS, Progress monitoring, etc.) and formative assessments.

Peace Corps Capacity Building Specialist from August 2016 until September 2018. I worked with the District AIDS Coordinator and Social & Community Development Officers in a Rural Administration Center in a village in Botswana. Working hand in hand with host country counterparts, I assisted with planning and implementing projects aimed at reducing the spread of HIV among among at risk populations in the sub-district. My day to day work included capacity building my counterparts in creating marketing materials, event planning, and improving data collection and maintenance systems. Additionally, I worked closely with the Guidance and Counselling teachers at the Senior School to implement life skills and gender empowerment programs for youth.

Oversaw the daily operations of an after-school and summer youth development program that serves a low-income population in a rural community in East Tennessee. Supervised and trained 20 Youth Development Workers (YDW) and volunteers who implemented a variety of age-appropriate, evidenced based programs for youth ages 5 - 17. Ensured the facility met Department of Human Services and Department of Education safety and childcare standards and was inclusive to children of all backgrounds. Created promotional materials such as monthly calendars, daily schedules, and flyers. Maintained positive relationships with families, caregivers, and school staff. Implemented and kept accurate data for multiple grant funded programs including: o SMART Moves- Skills Mastery and Resistance Training for youth ages 5 – 17 that teaches decision making, handling peer pressure, and goal settingo SMART Girls- health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program designed specifically for girls ages 8 to 17.o 21st Century Community Learning Centers- to promote student achievement and prepare students to compete on a global scale through academic tutoring o Brain Gain- Summer learning loss prevention curriculum for all grade levels

-Taught English to children and adults ages 6 months and older. -Used a variety of methods to teach English to learners of all ages and skill levels-Received intensive on the job training throughout time of employment-Used iLesson (interactive smart boards) during lessons-Became an Emergency Teacher to assist schools who needed an additional teacher-Promoted book sales and marketing of the school to recruit new students

Coordinate health and life skills programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. Including: Michael Phelps im Swim Program, Minority Health Initiative, and On Point: Abstinence Education. I also write health & life skills grants.

Write and submit grant proposals to seek funding for various youth development programs for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley.

Developed, implemented, and supervised youth aquatics programs for a 300 student after school and summer program.

Conducted various tasks for live local morning newscast such as setting up studio, delivering scripts, editing videos, accomodating special guests, operating multiple studio cameras, audio booth, and teleprompter and additional duties as were required daily.
