While living in Louisiana, I completed five years of teaching at two private schools. I have taught 6th-8th English and Reading, 9th English, 11th English, 12th Remedial English, Fine Arts, Yearbook, Publications, Study Skills, Practical Writing, and Dyslexia. I have proctored Dual Enrollment Art Appreciation (ART 290) through Louisiana Tech University, painted banners for the football team pep rallies, helped with JV and Varsity cheer, designed and completed 4 yearbooks, and I was in charge of the UCA Diamond Dolls from 2015-2017. I was also a secretary in the Student Affairs/Student Life office at Louisiana Tech University for part of my time as a student there. I worked 20 hours per week, while attending school full-time. This job taught me how to communicate effectively, process and organize confidential materials, quickly learn new computer programs to input needed information, and assist in scheduling and planning. After moving to Texas, I worked as a Grade Level Secretary at The Woodlands College Park High School in The Woodlands, Texas. After working this position for the school year, I was the PIEMS and Payroll Secretary for the Conroe ISD High School Summer School program. Once Summer School was complete, I was asked to become the Front Office Receptionist for The Woodlands College Park High School for one year-- I also handled payroll for the school during this time and assisted with other duties for Assistant and Associate principals. I began the 2022-2023 school year as the Administrative Assistant to the Associate Principal over Curriculum and Instruction at The Woodlands College Park High School. Beginning in November 2022, I taught English III and worked as an Academic Interventionist (HB4545, RTI Push Ins, SPED Push Ins). For the 2023-2024 school year, I was the campus Dyslexia Specialist and the 504 Coordinator. I am currently working at Grand Oaks High School as the 504 Coordinator and Campus Testing Coordinator.
