I established Blue Anchor in 2012 to provide ground engineering consultancy services to support clients of all sizes in realising their project ambitions. My depth and breadth of experience in solving challenging geotechnical problems, assessing and mitigating risk, and providing cost-effective designs, gained in over 30 years working for contractors and consultants, helps me give clients the intelligence and support they need to deliver projects on time and to budget.

As an Associate Director I had technical and organisational responsibility for the ground engineering team at Buro Happold’s Bath office providing geotechnical investigation, interpretation and design support to multidisciplinary project delivery teams. My portfolio of projects included; urban regeneration schemes in UK and overseas, remediation of an unstable cliff, building developments including schools and universities, commercial buildings, museums and airports.

As a senior geotechnical engineer I worked in a team responsible for the geotechnical aspects of large civil engineering projects, including the design of piled foundations for bridges and marine structures, and for the design of ground improvement schemes using staged loading, vertical drains, reinforcing geotextiles and pile support.
