In 2018, Thermo Fisher Scientific acquired Patheon Inc. Responsibilities include:•All site activities related to Maintenance, Information Technology (IT), Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), Utilities and Facilities.•Availability of site utilities, including water for injection (WFI), process waste neutralization, power, plant steam and chilled water distribution systems.•Ensure all utilities / equipment maintenance works are done as per schedule and meet cGMP requirements.•Prepare and oversee annual budget for Engineering and IT Departments. Also responsible for preparing site annual capital expenditure (CAPEX) program.•Planning and execution of CAPEX projects.•Ensure good communication with other departments by timely execution of engineering/IT activities.•Ensure adherence to EH&S guidelines. •Calibration of all field devices, analytical equipment and reference equipment.

The site was originally initiated by DSM and later acquired by Patheon Inc. in Jan 2014.

•Develop a team and associated systems for facilities maintenance.•Implement a computerized maintenance management system for works management, job planning, inventory control and resource management.•Prepare and control annual operation and maintenance budgets.•Improvise all mechanical systems including HVAC throughout the complex.•Contract management and overseeing outsourced activities.•Handle all tenant coordination issues for all fit-out related activities within the complex.•Streamline current projects and provide assistance wherever required.•Formulate a central helpdesk system to assist costumer for registering maintenance complaints.•Liaise with other departments and resolve issues immediately.

•Produce deliverables as required by continuous improvement in existing system through planning, workflow analysis, manpower requirements, review of systems and procedures, job simplification, cost control, inventory control and energy management in order to improve maintenance operations.•Prepare and control annual operation and maintenance budgets.•Provide assistance or design HVAC & refrigeration related projects/equipments/services on campus.•Develop QA/QC procedures/plans and monitor overall quality system.•Contract management and overseeing outsourced activities. •Management of Computerized Maintenance Management System and resolute system improvements.•Develop long term and short term strategic plans to identify resource requirements including manpower, material, equipments, space and methods for maintaining facility.•Explore cost saving avenues and prepare strategies to implement cost saving strategies to maximize output. •Establish and implement best practices and optimum resource utilization in all functional areas with strong emphases on work standards, safety and cost reduction.•Assist maintenance departments to prepare staffing plan, training plan, project future resource requirements and establish performance indicators.•Prepare feasibility reports of assigned projects and assist in developing and implementation. •Active participation in ISO, JCIA and CQI initiatives and perform ISO audits with in the division.•Perform key maintenance projects planning in coordination with cost centre managers. Prepare annual equipment replacement plan and subsequent inventory management.

•Preparation of machine and process qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ, PQP, CQ etc), under relevant Australian Standards and FDA/TGA/cGMP guidelines.•Ensure protocols contain necessary technical contents required for validation. •Draft new SOPs for the equipment or process.•Execution of protocols for Installation, Operation and Performance qualification stages.•Arrange testing equipment(s) necessary to execute protocols.•Coordinate with Manufacturing & Maintenance Departments for successful completion of validation projects.•Achieve conclusion of validation projects in timely manner. •Prepare deviation reports, test summaries and final project reports for signing off.•Conduct machine improvement or process re-engineering studies.•Conduct QA/QC activities on all projects and incoming equipments thru documentation, NDT assessments etc.•Develop and maintain effective relationship with internal and external customers.•Effective Occupational Health and Safety implementation.•Maintain records of all validation projects.•Ensure compliance with GMP and SOPs.
