Conducting EHS awareness training for all new joinee, Utility and Housekeeping teams, STP operators, Shop-floor operators etc.Building an Environmental Health and Safety Consciousness among all employees of GE BEL.Organizing quarterly EHS events involving all employeesDriving regular all-employee communications/awareness campaigns on various EHS topics through monthly updation of EHS dashboards, electronic display boards, posters, personal pocket cards, emails and so on across the facilityWorking on GE’s Health & Safety and Environment framework elements through:• H&S implementation around the Facility, ensuring people are well aware about the Hazards at the Workplace by daily walkthroughs.• Accident Reporting and investigation - continuous focus to strengthen the safety triangle by tracking near misses, EHS concerns and ensuring early closure of audit findings. • As part of emergency preparedness and fire prevention team conducting periodic inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants system, sprinklers hooters, and manual call points. • Yearly/biannually testing of Lift tackles, Cranes, Jibs, Hoists, Ladders, Compressors by Chartered Engineer (as per factories Act) requirement.• Participating in Hazard identification at the workplace such as Electrical, Radiation and Chemical hazards and helping in implementing SRAs (Safety Risk Assessments)• Regularly participating in Industrial Hygiene Risk Assessments in the facility. Have conducted in-house monitoring for parameters like noise and illumination• With a significant focus on Ergonomics in the facility, participating in identifying and addressing any employee concerns raised. Recently worked on submission of project for global Ergo Cup competition • Participating in implementing EHS requirements identified as part of Management of Change (MOC) process.
