Designated PIA Focal for Boeing 777-200/300/LR operation as liaison between Boeing Company and PIA for resolving technical issues and queries.Focal for all senior management regarding outstation AOGs and fleet's defect status.Current Responsibilities Include :Take decisions to ensure On- time, safe ,airworthy and cost effective aircraft operation on international and domestic network from Engineering perspective.In the event of technical held up, provide; complete trouble shooting assistance and take appropriate assessment and decisions for recovery and resolution of the situation. Planning a structured and logical action plan for handling all aspects of technical grounding situations by providing technical support and coordinating rescue and aircraft retrieval operations.Liaison with Engineering for airworthy dispatch of aircraft.Provide all delay/ defect/ incident/ accident reports for regulatory authorities and management.Managing a consistent action plan to prevent unnecessary wastage of spare parts and time. Co-ordinate with key units throughout the operations, maintenance and engineering so that maintenance can be planned, coordinated and expedited to minimize delays and down time.
