I worked at the University of Toronto's Concrete Materials Research group and helped develop a higher strength concrete through increased aggregate bonding from additions of silica-carbide abrasions, fine-grained sand, and cement-coated aggregates. My research involved gaining a thorough understanding of electric fibre-optics, 3-dimensional microscopes, epoxy resins, mortar and concrete production, curing and ASTM standards on concrete testing and quality inspection. The research was supervised by Dr. Karl Peterson, and Professor R.D. Hooton
