I finished my degree in computational statistics where I designed scalable algorithms that use parallel computing to improve the performance of MCMC algorithms.Thesis: "Non-reversible parallel tempering on optimized paths"

I have been privately tutor mathematics for 5 years now, with over 2000 hours worth of cumulative experience. I have taught students of all backgrounds and ability, from grade 7 math to graduate stochastic analysis.

Instructor for Math 105 (Integral with application to commerce and social sciences) in Winter 2015 and Math 100V/Math 101V, (Differential/Integral Calculus) in Fall 2015/Winter 2016.

I was the head TA for Math 220, Introduction to Proofs. In addition I graded for various exams, and was a tutor in the mathematics learning centre at UBC.

I held an USRA in the department of Pure Mathematics at the University of Waterloo under the supervision of Spiro Karigiannis. It was funded by NSERC, with a grant of $9000. My research was in a differential geometry/geometric analysis. Specifically I studied local behaviour of minimal surfaces on G_2 manifolds.

I worked an actuarial intern with the automotive pricing group at Desjardins. I was responsible for analyzing large amounts of data to determine profitable sectors in Ontario and regions of high fraud. My results were used to implement marketing strategies across Ontario. While there I heavily used SAS, emblem and generalized linear models to implement models to help assess fraud and risk using the online data provided by consumers. I also helped file and implement a new pricing structure for car insurance.

My research was in a fractal geometry. Specifically I studied Hausdorff dimension of fat Sierpinski gaskets and applications of fractals.
