I am a Mechatronic Systems Engineer with a passion for creating innovative solutions that bridge the gap between mechanical, electrical, and software engineering. My journey began at Simon Fraser University, where I earned a BASC in Mechatronic Systems Engineering, laying the foundation for my technical skills.My proficiency in programming languages like Python, C/C++, C#, Java, and MATLAB, along with my expertise in various software and systems, including SolidWorks, Altium, LabVIEW, and GitHub, empowers me to tackle multidisciplinary projects. I have hands-on experience with embedded systems, such as Raspberry Pi, ARM, and Arduino, and I'm well-versed in serial communication protocols like I2C, UART, SPI, and CAN.One of my key strengths lies in machine learning, where I've worked with frameworks like TensorFlow, Yolo, Keras, and OpenCV. I'm skilled in electrical and electronics design, circuit simulation, PCB design, soldering, and power converters. My mechanical skills encompass design, FEA analysis, rapid prototyping, and 3D printing.In my professional journey, I've had the privilege to work on exciting projects. As a Mechatronics/Automation Engineer at Shearwater Research, I researched and developed autonomous solutions, improved manufacturing procedures, and created automated systems to enhance efficiency and quality control. I've also contributed to the success of organizations like Whitewater West, Orbital Research Ltd, and Algo Communication through my co-op and internship roles.Some of my standout projects include the development of an autonomous high-pressure testing station, a production monitoring application, a lifetime button tester, an Arduino-based RC transmitter, and the conversion of an old sailboat to an all-electric drive. I've even dabbled in machine learning with a sign language detection model and enjoyed programming games like Flappy Bird on Tiva C MCUs.
