Component Validation Engineer - Dre Safety Critical Vehicle Closures Hardware
Current-Create/develop and document the Corporate Common Component standardized workstreams for Vehicle Closures Hardware which are safety critical components-Build and manage Corporate Common Component Vehicle Closures Hardware specific ADV (Analysis, Development, and Validation) Plans, conduct DRBTRs and approve test reports (external or internal) on time-Review and approve physical and analytical set-ups and test fixtures, support progression, and verify successful completion-Create Handbook for CVE role for better onboarding of new employees and to make sure the appropriate learning courses have been taken-Review and approve CEMENT test reports (environmental/durability and electrical/electronic components; GM3172)-Document supplier component and subsystem test issue in the PRTS system and follow through unit closure-Complete regulatory compliance documentation activities (MVSS/ Type Approval)-Review ECRs and CR/DNs to develop validation plans/impacts to ensure changes meet requirements -Key partner attendee in the Peer Review, DFMEA, and Sourcing processes-Lead Validation issue resolution and communicate status to program, engineering release and validation leadership teams in the respective meeting forums-Lead and manage SQMS Action plan status and signoff for Validation related items in partnership with the DRE team-Support thorough documentation of requirements and results through a variety of GM systems-Update Kanban Cards on various issues needing to be tracked-Sign off on GM3660 Validation and ensure appropriate documentation is provided-Review Validation Testing Results to ensure validity of testing data and to ensure the proper tests were tested-Hold Validation PDT meetings
