With extensive experience in leading governance, legal, risk and assurance functions, I am currently the Director of Governance, Risk and Assurance at Yorkshire Housing, a social housing provider with more than 18,000 affordable and quality homes. I oversee the compliance, audit, insurance, assurance as well as health and safety activities for Yorkshire Housing ensuring that we adhere to the highest standards of governance and risk management.A great communicator, I work with our Board and Committees, the Executive Team, and key stakeholders to develop and implement effective governance and risk frameworks that support our strategic objectives and values. I also manage a team of governance, assurance and health and safety professionals, providing them with guidance, support, and development opportunities. Prior to joining Yorkshire Housing, I was the Director of Legal & Governance at Incommunities, another social housing provider, where I led the legal and governance, services. I have also provided quality housing training to a variety of housing associations, local authorities and the police as an independent trainer. I have a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors and I am passionate about delivering excellence in governance, risk, and assurance.
