I created and built Precinct from concept to >$20m revenue. Precinct was owned and funded by Prosegur, as part of the strategic framework that I developed. I had responsibility for establishment, product development, GTM, customer acquisition, asset acquisition and capital management, regulatory approvals and compliance, and financial performance.Precinct was a fintech that delivered multi-bank and mono-bank physical banking solutions. This included any component of a bank's physical consumer and business operations, but with an initial focus on over-the-counter and cash transactions. Some of the key components of building Precinct that I was responsible for included:- Seed acquisition of a national ATM fleet- Technology platform including user management and transaction processing- Transaction rails including real-time payment integration- User authentication in a multi-level user environment- Customer KYC and associated AML checks- AML program development- Product manual development- Go-to-market planning- Customer experience and customer understanding research/review- Customer service transition planning- Customer acquisition (bank and end-user)- Product piloting- Regulatory approvals- Brand development and advertising campaigns

I was Chief Strategy Officer for Australia at Prosegur. I had the joy of getting to build new things that benefited our customers. Whether that was ground-up product development, complex solution design, or leading M&A and other complex partnering, my focus at all times was on how to deliver an exceptional outcome for our customers.Through this, my overarching focus was on evolving the business such that it could continue to be sustainable for the long term. This evolution focused on both organic innovation and product development, bringing new solutions to both existing and new markets, and on inorganic growth to enter new markets. Whilst at Prosegur I delivered commercial partnerships and projects with a value of over $1bn.Prosegur is the second largest cash management business in the world, and a major global security solutions provider. I led the post-merger integration in Australia of Chubb Cash in Transit with Prosegur.

My PhD was focused on HR and people practices, organisational psychology and organisational performance. Key findings of my thesis covered the specific importance and needs around developing managers, and understanding at a much deeper level the way in which employees respond to the way they are managed and the people practices that they experience. My research included:- The publication of three academic papers- A qualitative research component consisting of 33 interviews and qualitative data analysis and synthesis- A quantitative research component drawing on data from over 400 respondents from eight organisations, with a multi-level statistical model to draw insights- A systematic literature review which included a novel approach to sourcing literature, incorporating a centrality algorithm over eight rounds and 31,580 papers to identify the most important (central) papers to the research question
